Mining & Water Containment Geomembrane are designed as relatively impermeable liners and have been extensively used, over the past two decades, in barrier systems for waste containment facilities for a large spectrum of waste including mining waste. They have become critical components in mining facilities where their containment performance has been proven. These include base liners for heap leaching pads, liners to concrete basins and tank liners, solar ponds for salt recovery, temporary exposed liners or raincoats" for tropical sites, intermit liners in heap leach pads, liners for mitigation of drainage from tailings or waste rock dumps and for tailings and process residues impoundments.
